If you're a Masset resident and won't be able to vote in the by-election Oct. 27, you can mark your ballot at the advance poll being held next Wednesday, Oct. 17. The advance poll will be open from 8 am until 8 pm at the village office on Main Street. There are two candidates running: Andrew Merilees and Arbor Osborne. The by-election is being held to fill the position left vacant when longtime councillor Janet Brown died this summer.
