Advanced polling starts again Wednesday – less than a week away from the May 9 provincial election.

During the first two days of advanced voting on Saturday and Sunday, more than 230,000 people cast their ballot.

That’s about 13 per cent of the 3.1 million registered voters, according to Elections BC statistics.

Advanced voting is Wednesday, May 3 through Saturday, May 6.

While voting locations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., not all locations are open every day of the advance voting period.

A telephone voting option is also available for B.C. residents with vision loss or who have a disability that restricts their ability to vote independently.

Voters who choose to vote by telephone can call 1-800-661-8683 from noon to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday and will be assisted by an operator throughout the process.
