A protest aimed at stopping the trophy bear hunt on the islands is set for Saturday in Tlell."The time has come for Haida Gwaiians to stand together to finally put an end to recreational bear hunting. The unethical slaughter of our unique black bears has gone on too long," according to protest organizers.There'll be poetry, drumming and an open microphone, and it all gets underway at 1 pm at the Tlell River bridge.
