Queen Charlotte police arrested a man for breaking and entering the evening of Aug. 2, after a resident heard strange noises coming from his neighbour’s house. Sgt. Neil Hogg said the resident was working in his yard in the 3400 block of Highway 33, and heard glass breaking at the house next door. He checked to see what was going on, and saw a man leaving the house with liquor and other stolen items. The resident detained the man until police arrived and arrested him. Police also arrested a man on Aug. 5 in Skidegate for breaching court conditions. Sgt. Hogg said the man was walking on Front Street with a woman whom he had been ordered not to be in contact with.
