Construction may resume soon

The wait may be over soon. Northern Health has given all necessary documents to the Ministry of the Environment for soil testing, and hopes construction on the new south-end hospital can resume shortly.The project was stopped in November when arsenic showed up in soil being removed from the site.Jonathon Dyck of Northern Health says the project can still meet its fall 2015 deadline, and that other work on the $50 million project is continuing.
