Coons to hold public meetings this week

MLA Gary Coons is arriving on the islands Tuesday morning (April 18) for a three-day visit. He'll be spending Tuesday at the north end of the islands, holding a public meeting at 4 pm in the Masset council chambers.
Wednesday, he'll be joined by NDP forestry critic Bob Simpson. The two MLAs will be meeting with the Council of the Haida Nation in Skidegate, and with Queen Charlotte mayor Carol Kulesha and Port Clements mayor Cory Delves in Queen Charlotte.
On Thursday, Mr. Coons and Mr. Simpson are scheduled to tour Cascadia's operations on Graham Island and then tour Teal Jones operations on Moresby Island. At 7 pm Thursday (April 20), they'll be hosting a public meeting at the community hall in Sandspit. He flies home Friday morning.
