Elderly woman loses salmon in Skidegate break-in

An 81-year old Skidegate woman won't be sleeping easily this weekend. In the wee hours of Friday morning (November 22), she heard an intruder break into her home.
She feared for her safety, and chose not to investigate until later in the morning. When she ventured out of her room at 7:00 am, she discovered someone had broken in and stolen five cases of canned salmon.
Anyone with information about this break in, please call Queen Charlotte RCMP at 559-4421.
On Thursday November 21 in Masset, police responded to two false alarms, one at George M. Dawson high school, the other at the Delmas Coop.
That same day in Skidegate, police arrested and charged a man with assault in a domestic dispute.
