Fire risk downgraded

After a few weeks of 'high' and even 'extreme' risk of forest fires, Brian Eccles at the Ministry of Forests in Queen Charlotte said that the risk is back down to 'low,' thanks to last week's downpour. Which means that all kinds of burning are now allowed again, within reason.
"We're back on track," said Mr. Eccles.
Despite the extreme risk, Mr. Eccles said that there were no incidents in the past weeks.
"There were no problems," he said, "we were very lucky, thanks mostly to the public - they deserve a lot of credit."
