Then imagine that this is your first salt-water fishing trip, and you catch a 68-pound spring salmon! That's just what happened to Doug Frederick of Red Deer, Alberta. Doug won the trip in a draw at a petroleum show in Calgary, from Swanberg Air & Alberta Viking Charters. Doug and his son Lenard took a guided trip to the west coast with Swanberg Charters July 28 and came back with the 68-pound fish, which Lenard caught with the help of his guide, Richie Pick of Sandspit. Doug and Lenard were guests of Swanberg Charters at the new Sandspit Harbour Inn.
