He's in jail

The serial con artist who visited to Haida Gwaii last year has been convicted of multiple charges.Timothy Southwood, who was also known as Issan or Finn Elliot, has been sentenced to two years in prison and three years' probation, according to a Vancouver television station. Mr. Southwood was charged with theft over $ 5,000 and fraud. He had previously served time for fraud, possessing stolen property and assault.Mr. Southwood's time on Haida Gwaii was marked by rumours of thefts and lessons paid for but never received, as well as his leaving the islands with thousands of dollars' worth of regalia from Old Massett artist Georgia Bennett. Ms Bennett recovered the regalia, which she described as "priceless," only after many months and a Facebook campaign.
