The Queen Charlotte/Skidegate Landing incorporation study committee is gearing up, preparing for a public meeting to introduce the consultant it recently hired and getting ready to send out a newsletter to fully explain what it's up to.
The public meeting will be held Monday September 27 at 7:30 pm, with an open house beforehand starting at 6:00 pm. At those meetings, consultant Tom Reid will be introduced, the process will be explained, and committee members will be available to hear what those attending have to say.
The committee, which was formed spring following a public meeting, plans another public meeting, likely in January, after research on how municipal status would work in Queen Charlotte/Skidegate Landing.
A referendum on the question may be held next spring.
