Islanders face drug charges

Eight islanders arrested in a Northern BC drug trafficking investigation made their first appearance in court this week. The following appeared in court in Queen Charlotte Tuesday Feb. 6:
Charged with with trafficking in a controlled substance are Richard L. Aiken (two counts), Darcy J. Pearson, Darren V. Pearson, Jennifer C. Pelletier and Glenn R. Pollard (two counts). The following appeared on charges of possession for purpose of trafficking: Douglas R. Crosby, Darren V. Pearson, Darcy J. Pearson (two counts). Darren V. Pearson and Darcy J. Pearson were also charged with possession of a controlled substance. In Masset, two men were scheduled to appear in court, Greg Brown and Gwungai Brown. Both were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, with Gwungai Brown facing two counts.
Masset RCMP reported a few weeks ago that four people faced drug related charges as a result of the investigation. Corporal Bob Isaacs say that charges for the other two are still pending.
