Masset’s Gord Kricheldorf is the winner of the novice division at the Campbell River Shoreline Arts chainsaw competition, shortly after winning the novice class in Masset as well. Gord is now two wins for two carvings, it doesn’t get much better than that!
Above, his 7 foot carving of a fairy that he
called “Kazmin’s Fairy” – because she collects fairies. Shirley Kricheldorf tells us the camaraderie at the event was great, with thirty carvers taking part. Gord won $400, which Shirley says he will have no trouble spending, after seeing some new carving tools. Congrats, Gord Kricheldorf.
