The QCI General Hospital lab in Queen Charlotte will temporarily close for out-patient services on Wednesdays, as of yesterday. The closure is due to operational needs and a gap in lab technician coverage. Current outpatient lab hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will remain the same: 8:00-10:00am and 1:00-2:00pm.Emergency and in-patient lab services will not be affected.Queen Charlotte needs two additional lab technologists, and recruitment has been ongoing to fill these positions.
