Submitted by Laskeek Bay Conservation Society--The Laskeek Bay Conservation Society has volunteer spots available this month for locals to spend a week on East Limestone Island. Volunteers will participate in seabird monitoring, such as black oyster catcher and glaucous winged gull surveys as well as wildlife tree monitoring for cavity nesting birds. It's not all work and no play, volunteers do have time to watch the humpbacks in Laskeek Bay, explore the intertidal and hike the various trails.
