Masset RCMP are investigating an attempted sexual assault which occurred in the early morning of November 20. A lone female was walking along the walking trail which links Hodges Avenue and Swan Crescent when she was attacked from behind, according to police.
The attacker is described as a lone male about six feet tall. The victim was able to fight him off. The attacker then fled the scene.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch with them at 626-3991. They also advise anyone walking at night to travel with companions.
