Message found in a bottle

While beachcombing at Beresford Bay at the northwest corner of Graham Island, Randal Warnock of Sandspit found a message in a bottle, his third in three years.
The message says "My name is Kristina. I am almost five years old. I am crossing the Pacific Ocean on a sailboat from Hawaii to San Francisco, USA in August 1997. If you find this note please contact me." Along with the message, Kristina included her address, telephone number and a drawing.
When he returned home, Mr. Warnock contacted Kristina, who is now 10 1/2 years old. She was pretty excited to hear that the bottle had been discovered, says Mr. Warnock. She remembers throwing just one bottle overboard on day 7 of her family's 17-day trip to San Francisco.
Mr. Warnock, a skipper on the Kwuna, says he likes to take his 38 ft boat, the Nina-J, to the west coast for beachcombing expeditions when he's not working.
As well as this message, he has found a bottle in Cumshewa that was released from Oregon as part of an ocean current research study, and another bottle at the mouth of Security Inlet from a Turkish freighter working off the Sea of Japan.
He found this latest message just over a month ago, on May 2
