Todd Scaife of Queen Charlotte was called in to Sandspit to lift the crippled BC air ambulance off the runway following its crash landing Tuesday night. The plane weighs just 10,000 lbs, no problem for Mr. Scaife's crane which is capable of lifting four times that. Sandspit airport is open for business once again, and the air transportation safety board is investigating the cause of the accident. Four crew members managed to walk away from the accident without injuries. There were no patients on board.
