The village of Port Clements has decided to demolish the old "cub hall" building on Bayview Avenue, saying that it is too dangerous to use. The building had been used for meetings of the Port seniors and the islands garbage committee, and the QCI Rec Commission had used to top floor as an office. It will probably be burned as a fire practice, said clerk-treasurer Dana Schmidt, but no destruction date has been set yet.
