QPR delayed

The Queen of Prince Rupert won't be arriving on the islands Monday morning after all.
BC Ferries announced Thursday afternoon (April 13) that it needs to do extra work on the QPR in order to meet regulatory requirements from Transport Canada.
The vessel is now expected to arrive at Skidegate Landing Thursday evening (April 20), after leaving Rupert at 1:30 pm.
Meanwhile, barge and air service between Prince Rupert and the islands will continue. The air service is only for passengers who had previous reservations on the route.
Once it returns to work, the QPR will service both the Port Hardy-Prince Rupert and Rupert-Skidegate routes until mid-May. After that, the schedule is completely unknown. BC Ferries says it will make a decision in the next two weeks about how to handle the summer service.
