Queen Chalotte council adopts trailer policy

Queen Charlotte council adopted its new policy on trailers at the boat launch when it met Monday evening.Council has been considering the policy since the summer, when Councillor Martin informed it that the previous policy had 'miserably failed'.As of Monday, all trailers at the launch must be hitched to a vehicle, must be parked in designated areas and be legally licensed, while unhitched trailers will be removed and impounded at the owner's expense. The village's previous policy allowed trailers to be parked at the launch for up to seven days.Council considered the change over the last few months, and held a public meeting on the issue last month.
