Queen Charlotte residents will soon get their first chance to discuss the potential signing of the protocol agreement with the Council of the Haida Nation.
A special meeting of the Queen Charlotte council has been called for 7:30 pm on July 25 at the Eric Ross Room.
CHN President Guujaaw will attend the meeting. Another open house is planned for early September. Councillors have agreed they would like the village to make a decision on whether to enter into a protocol agreement by September 21.
A version of the agreement has been signed between the Council of the Haida Nation and the villages of Port Clements and Masset and the Regional District – Area D.
