The Queen of Prince Rupert is undergoing its annual refit between March 4 and June 5, and has been replaced by the Queen of the North. The schedule to the islands will remain the same as usual.
On the mid-coast routes, BC Ferry Services Inc. is also deploying the Nimpkish during the QPR refit, because some of the mid-coast piers cannot accommodate the larger Queen of the North. The two-ship service will result in greater frequency of sailings on these routes, BC Ferry Services said, with more convenient arrival and departure times.
