Sandspit students have great trip to Quebec

Twenty-three students from grades 6-11 at AL Mathers in Sandspit visited Quebec earlier this month, participating in a cultural exchange. They learned about maple sugar production, visited the biodome, Old Montreal and took in a Habs game.
Skating, tubing and tobogganing were on the agenda as well as riding Montreal's metro. They also visited Quebec City, among the oldest in North America, and braved the minus 20 degrees to take in Carnaval. They were matched with a group from Montreal's Westmount High School, which will be coming to the islands at the end of April. Thanks to Sharlene Scofield of the school for the photo.
