A couple of Tlell residents spotted a live shark swimming around in shallow water Monday just off the end of Wiggins Road. Ella Fletcher said Pam and Gerry Whittle saw the shark and described it as approximately eight feet long. They could clearly see its fin and tail. When they saw it the weather had just started turning sunnier and they wanted swimmers, especially kids, to be aware that there could be sharks out in the ocean.
