St. Mary recovered

The statue of St. Mary, missing since Saturday or before, was discovered and replaced Tuesday moring.
Details are sketchy as we write this at 10:00 am Tuesday, but Queen charlotte RCMP are on the scene, putting the statue back in place, according to a police spokesperson.
The Lawn Point statue was apparently found on the water side of the highway, not far from where it usually sits. It was reported missing on Sunday, prompting Queen Charlotte businessman Jack Greenwood to offer a $1,000 reward for its recovery.
It has stood at Lawn Point for at least 40 years. By the time you read this, it should be back in place. See the Observer Thursday for full details.
