Warm, but no record

Summer has finally made an appearance on islands, and with record breaking temperatures in BC's interior, it felt like Haida Gwaii may have set some records itself. Sandspit came close to a record breaking daily high temperature on Sunday July 13 at 21.4 degrees Celsius. Environment Canada said the temperature to beat was 22.2 degrees Celsius, a record set nearly 50 years ago.
