12 attend Masset peace vigil

Twelve islanders gathered with candles outside the Masset post office Sunday night to bear witness against the cruelty and insanity of war, says peace vigil organizer Charles Gee.
The Masset vigil was just one of almost 6,000 similar events which took place around the world Sunday, starting in New Zealand, to protest the possibility of war with Iraq. Mr. Gee said the fact this worldwide event was organized in less than a week shows the possibility of organization by means of the world wide web.
