Summer will start later for Air Canada passengers this year – in July, not June. The airline, which offers a daily flight from Sandspit to Vancouver year-round, normally boosts its service to two flights a day in the summer peak season. According to spokesperson Angela Mah, last year the second flight was offered beginning in the third week of June. “We found that demand for the second flight did not pick up until July,” she said. Ms Mah said the company made a commercial decision to introduce the second flight on July 1 this year instead, to better match capacity to customer demand.
