Album nominated for award

A Haida musician’s album has been nominated for yet another award.Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson’s album New Journeys has been nominated in the category of “World Recording of the Year” by the Western Canadian Music Awards.The awards will be presented at the end of September in Regina.? New Journeys was released in June 2011. The album was also nominated for two Aboriginal Peoples Choice awards, three Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and two Canadian Folk Music awards.As well as being a performer, Ms Williams-Davidson is a lawyer who represents the Haida Nation in aboriginal-environmental law.
