Submitted by Linday Berston--Remember to keep Sunday Aug. 17 open for the annual Beach Rock Art Contest at Misty Meadows beach, Tlell. This free, fun-filled event is a must do, you won't want to miss it.It starts at 10 am and ends with public judging at 2 pm. Results are tallied on site and six lucky individuals and teams go home with great prizes. There are three adult and three youth (14 and under) prizes. You can enter as an individual or a team, but the mixed adult/youth teams must be entered in the adult category.Both competitors and spectators enjoy the creativity and spectacular results of working with natural beach rocks. We've seen amazing creations such as killer whales, octopuses, Haida designs, miniature villages and much more.
