Queen Charlotte RCMP are warning to islanders to beware of bogus calls asking for donations to police associations.Cpl. Ron Masch said one islander called the Queen Charlotte detachment this week after getting a phone call from someone soliciting money for the "Canadian Police Association". A google search revealed that the call came from the United States, he said. These are scam calls and people should not give money to them, he said."The RCMP do not solicit for funds over the phone," he said. "Don't give any money... If you have any questions, call us."
