Big grocery move is on in Masset

Grocery shoppers in Masset, you’re in for a whole new experience next week. Over the weekend, the Coop grocery store will move into its brand spanking-new building, at 16,500 square feet, some 40-percent larger than the old one. The move started earlier in the week with store fixtures and fridges. On Saturday, the first freight will go in to the new store, and everything from the old store will be moved over on Sunday and Monday. “We have lots of work, but it looks like we are going to make it”, Coop manager Richard Clarmont said Friday. He also told us some thirty helpers will be working with him over the weekend to make it happen. Want to shop in style Tuesday? The new grocery store opens at 9 am.
