A 49-year-old Masset resident was found deceased on the beach northeast of Masset on Saturday (Jan. 8).RCMP Cpl. Andrew Baylis said the man had gone for a walk the evening of Jan. 7 and was reported missing early on Jan. 8 when he did not return home. The RCMP were beginning to organize a search party when the man's body was found. The cause of death is under investigation by the Masset RCMP and the BC Coroners Service.
