Caramel Apple Fundraiser

submitted by April Dutheil--On Sunday, July 31 my sister and I sold 170 caramel apples at the Tlell Fall Fair. My sister is 12 and I am 16. It took us two days to make the apples with the help of our friend Sophie and our parents. Sarah and I thought that selling caramel apples would be a great way to raise money for epilepsy. We donated all our proceeds: $635 to the BC Epilepsy Society. As well, we gave out pamphlets and activity books from the society so people could learn more about epilepsy. We had great success. The day of the fair was beautiful, we sold all of our apples and distributed a lot of information. We hope this will help in continuing to educate people about epilepsy so children and adults can live more comfortably with this common neurological condition.
