CBC’s Almanac to be broadcast from Skidegate at noon Friday

CBC Radio’s BC Almanac with host Mark Forsythe, and North by Northwest with Sheryl Mackay are coming to Haida Gwaii for two very special daysof programming on Friday June 20 and Saturday June 21. The celebration of National Aboriginal day is the main theme of BC Almanac’s programming with additional segments on resource development issues in the news right now and on tourism to Haida Gwaii. Sheryl will welcome renowned singer Terri-Lynn Davidson-Williams as well as Nika Collison, Curator of the Haida Gwaii Museum and Jusquan Amanda Bedard of the Xaad Kihlgaa Hl Suu.u Society.Everyone is invited to come to the Heritage Heritage Centre either (or both!) days. BC Almanac with Mark Forsythe from noon to two on Friday June 20 and North By Northwest from 6-9 am with Sheryl Mackay. There will be coffee and muffins on Saturday morning for the early risers and CBC pins and pens for some of the lucky audience members.
