Get ready for a rip-roaring day of mud and music at the Port Clements community park Friday, where islanders will be gathering to celebrate Canada Day.The hard-working volunteers at the Port Clements recreation commission have put together a fun schedule of events that take place, for the most part, over one day, rather than the usual two.The only event that doesn't take place on Friday is the kids fishing derby, which will happen on Thursday June 30, starting at 6 pm, at the big dock. The derby is open to everyone ages 15 and under and there are lots of great prizes. Please make sure you bring a lifejacket and your salt water fishing licence.
