Masset RCMP said two young boys had a close call while surfing last week. Corporal Jim deHoog said the detachment received a call saying that two boys, aged around 9 and 12, had been pulled out by the tide while surfing in an area known as the “Keyhole”, near Tow Hill. The Coast Guard also responded, Cpl. deHoog said. However, before the RCMP could get out to the area, they got a call saying that the boys had made it back to shore safely.
