The Haida Gwaii Coalition Against SuperTankers has started a petition addressed to Premier Christy Clark.Member Valine Crist said Ms Clark had not yet taken a stand on the Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline proposal."As our premier, we see that she needs to be standing with the 80 percent of British Columbians that oppose this project, so we have started collecting signatures in support of our cause and to let her know that Haida Gwaii won't let this proposal go ahead," Ms Crist said.Some CoAST members were in Jasper last week for the Two Brothers pole raising, and in one afternoon collecting more than 150 signatures from visitors from as far away as England and Australia, she said.Look for the petition at upcoming community events.
