Submitted by Sandspit Rod & Gun Club-What a wild and windy weekend, probably the worst weather ever for the start of the derby. Having said that, there were fish weighed in and food prepared. The Sunday sourdough pancake breakfast was a hit for those who made the trip out to Copper Bay. Thank you to Ray and his helpers, that was real dedication with the weather so bad. The top 10 is only the top three for this first weekend with two juniors also having weighed-in fish. The story is that David Putterill carried his fish to the weigh-master and it was hard to tell which was the fish and which was the boy.
