The Moresby Island Management Committee is looking for fresh ways of communicating with Sandspit residents, after only one person showed up for a Feb. 28 meeting about changes to the water billing system.Emmy O'Gorman said it's important for the committee to find a way to let residents know that if they use a lot of water after April 1, they will be getting a big bill next year.Ms O'Gorman said distributing written information through mailboxes might be one way - but committee members will have to make sure people read the information. The information has to be clear and it has to grab people's attention, she said."It is really important we talk to people and let them know it's happening," she said.Until now, Sandspit property owners have all been paying the same amount towards the water system. After April 1, people will pay extra if they use more than a certain amount during the year.
