Former islander Roger Harris, now the Liberal MLA for the Terrace area and Minister of State for Forestry Operations, will be making a major announcement in Masset Wednesday morning.
Mr. Harris will be arriving on the islands Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday morning he's in Masset (along with local MLA Bill Belsey), then that afternoon he will travel to Skidegate, Queen Charlotte and Sandspit. He leaves first thing Thursday morning.
Mr. Harris's ministerial assistant said the minister will announce a community forest for the islands, although no other details have yet been released.
