Community plan consultation starts next week in Charlotte

Public consultation meetings on Queen Charlotte's official community plan are set to start Wednesday.The plan, available at the village office and online at www.queencharlotte.ca in draft form, is a long-range policy guide to steer future growth in the village, and will form the basis for future zoning and land use bylaws.The draft plan is 86 pages long, complete with several maps to make it clearer.It is the product of the village's Advisory Planning Commission, a group of five volunteers chaired by Clyde Greenough, and has been three years in the works.Public meetings will be as follows; Wednesday June 3, 7:30 pm, Saturday June 6, 10:00 am and Wednesday June 10, 7:30 pm. All are in the Eric Ross room at the hall.
