The Delmas Co-op has postponed a public meeting about its new building by a week, in order to give contractors more time to get bids in.
The meeting will now be held in Masset on Aug. 31 instead of Aug. 24, said manager Richard Clarmont.
Mr. Clarmont said the board decided to give contractors a 10-day extension because they were having a difficult time getting prices from local sub-contractors. Bid are now due Aug. 21.
After reviewing the bids, the board will be making a decision about whether to go ahead with the new grocery building in Masset.
