Councillor Ross looking forward to some solid work

Eric Ross, who has lived in Queen Charlotte his entire life and whose name graces a room of the local community hall, won a seat on the village's very first council tonight.
Mr. Ross, reached at home, said he is now looking forward to at least a year of solid work getting the first bylaws and other details in place for the new municipality.
He campaigned mainly on a platform of parking and road safety, one which clearly resonated with many voters here.
The other members of the town's first council will be Gladys Noddin, Greg Martin and Kris Olsen.
