Sandspit residents will soon have the opportunity to participate in open discussions on local issues.Moresby Island Management Committee chair and Regional District representative Evan Putterill said at the recent MIMC meeting that he will be starting dialogue sessions up, similar to those held in Queen Charlotte.Mr. Putterill said the meetings will be held on the Wednesday before MIMC meetings, so issues raised can perhaps make it on the agenda. He added that it's voluntary whether committee members attend.The idea is to offer an informal setting for public discussion, unlike the regular MIMC meetings, when input is only encouraged at the end of the evening.The first open dialogue will be held on Aug. 4 at 7:30 pm at the Sandspit Community office.
