Disrupting Currents exhibition opens Friday

The Haida Gwaii Museum proudly presents Strait Lines + Disrupting Currents, a thought provoking exhibition of artworks by Ruth Beer and Kit Grauer in collaboration with Soledad Munoz, Miles Thorogood, Phillip Robbins and Andres Wanner. Strait Lines + Disrupting Currents examines salmon and its ecological and marine environmental importance for the west coast.The exhibition, which opens at 7 pm Fri. Apr. 19, features sculpture, video, photography and interactive new media that highlight visual patterns and forms provoking questions about the relationship of our present ecological circumstances, our history and our impact on the future.Refreshments will be provided. Note: Novelist Eden Robinson's reading will follow at 8 pm in the Performing House for those interested.
