Passengers hoping to cross Hecate Strait by BC Ferry are advised to check the Ferries website, www.bcferries.comNorthern Adventure, the vessel that serves Prince Rupert and Skidegate was forced to stop serving the route on Friday, after getting tangled up with a rope.That has left passengers on the islands wanting to get off and others in Prince Rupert wanting to get over here.The Friday sailing to Skidegate was cancelled, as are the two saturday sailings, one to Skidegate, the second back to Rupert.As we write this at 4:00 pm Saturday, it's not clear when the problem will be fixed and Northern Adventure back in service.Check with ferries for current information.
