Effective at noon Monday (Aug. 23), all open fires are permitted in the Haida Gwaii and North Coast forest districts.As well, campfires will be permitted in the old Kalum forest district and the Bulkley fire zone of the Northwest Fire Centre's jurisdiction, due to a decreased risk of wildfires.
