A home on the highway between Masset and Port was destroyed by fire early on Wednesday Dec. 7.The Port Clements Fire Department responded to a fire call at two am on the morning of Dec. 7 to a house approximately nine kilometres outside of Port. Ten Port firefighters used two pumper trucks full of water, around 2,000 gallons, but were not able to save the building."It was already fully-involved by the time we got there" said firefighter Ryan Brown, "we were able to save one of the outbuildings, but that's it. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries."
